Phone icons while making a call have moved
Can someone explain why, after so many years of having the speaker icon on the top right hand side and the mute icon on the bottom left, in the latest OS update they have moved? REALLY? WHY?

No worries. We all have days that tax us harder than we hope and something simple can just be a trigger. Don't let this change get to you. It will quickly become second nature.

And to be honest, months after the change, it's now completely normal to me and I honestly don't even remember how it was before the change.
Part of the reason it seems uneventful to you is probably because you didn't get angry about it. Anger interferes with learning new things.
The call-answering screen has changed? Huh. 😉

Yeah, I didn't notice it either until people started posting about it here.
That's funny. I didn't even realize anything changed until people starting moaning about it here. I don't use motor memory on touch devices. I look at the screen and choose the option that best meets the immediate need. Odd, I know........
The âwhy?â questions are something often best reserved to Apple, if thereâs not doc published somewhere.
Send your feedback about this change directly.
Here is how to send: Product Feedback - Apple
They wonât usually answer the feedback, but they do read those.
This is a user to user only forum. No one here works for Apple, thus we cannot speak for Apple. They changed the location is all anyone can tell you. And to be honest, months after the change, it's now completely normal to me and I honestly don't even remember how it was before the change.
One thing we can count on with technology is that things change and they will continue to change.

As noted, no one here would know why Apple made the decision. What I can telll you is that change and learning new things is good for keeping your brain young.

I did NOT get angry about it. I don't think there's been any change throughout the years which was important enough to anger me. Bewilder me? Sure. But I have found that I adapt to change pretty well and anger is never part of the need to adapt to change.

Exactly! You don't let it upset you so it's easier for you to learn and get comfortable.

LOL
Thank you--I couldn't figure out how to contact Apple. Apologies for taking up space and brainwidth. Thanks for the comments...I have had a cascade of computer issues today re log-ins, and inability to get my work done. An excuse, not a reason, for the level of frustration I experienced today.

Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
