17.3.1 update and pictures don’t want to load

Nothing has been working for me. I cannot get into my gallery and everything has been backed up. Some apps haven’t been working for me and I have been on full Wi-Fi the entire time. Anyone else having this issue or is it just me.

iPhone 11, iOS 17

I understand the frustration you're experiencing with pictures not loading and apps malfunctioning after the iOS 17.3.1 update. You're not alone; several users have reported similar issues on the Apple Support Community forum.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

1. Restart your device: A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches.

2. Check for app updates: Outdated apps might not work correctly after an iOS update. Open the App Store and see if any updates are available for the affected apps and the Photos app.

3. Force close the Photos app and other affected apps: Swipe up on the app preview cards to close them completely.

4. Check your internet connection: While you mentioned being on Wi-Fi, ensure it's working properly. Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or using cellular data (if available) to see if the issue persists.

5. Reset network settings: This might help if the problem is related to network configuration issues. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note that this will erase Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth connections, and other network settings.

6. Report the issue to Apple: If the above steps don't resolve the problem, consider reporting the issue to Apple through the Feedback Assistant app or Feedback - Apple.com Website - Apple. This helps them identify and address software bugs in future updates.

Additional Tips:

  • Some users have reported success with reinstalling the affected apps. However, this might cause data loss in some cases, so proceed with caution.
  • If you're comfortable with advanced troubleshooting, consider backing up your data and performing a full restore of your device. However, this is a complex process, and it's recommended to seek assistance from Apple Support or a qualified technician if needed.

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue with pictures not loading and apps malfunctioning. If the problem persists, consider contacting Apple Support for further assistance.
