Please clarify. Older Mac notebooks had two power cords:


  • the small 3.5mm diameter cord between the charger "brick" and the MagSafe connector
  • a larger ~6.3mm diameter extension cord between the wall outlet and the charger brick.


The latter is still available from Apple: Power Adapter Extension Cable - Apple


Per all the specs I found that all 15- and 17-inch Macbook Pros used a 85W power supply. See:
