update IOS while iphone in security lockout
My Iphone is in security Lockout now. It has the IOS 16. Can I update the IOS being on security Lockout so I can use the previous passcode since I forgot the recent passcode?

Unfortunately, no. You will have erase / reset the iPhone and then set it up again with a new passcode.
If you forgot your iPhone passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support
When you set up the iPhone again, you can use a current backup to restore data back to your phone.
It might be a good idea to write down the new passcode and keep it in a safe place......even if you are sure that you will never forget it......since having to erase the phone is a no fun experience.
