ok...try this. There is a proper way to back out of Voice Mail when you want to hang up. Most times you can just hang up and not a problem, and then there are the times when this happens.

  • Press on the notification which should automatically call into your voice mail (if not, call into it yourself)
  • Once you are in, listening to your voice mail... the proper way to back out of VM is to press the 'star' (asterisk) key until your vm says 'good-bye'.
  • When you hear that, hang up (end call)
  • Wait a few minutes and see if it goes away. If not...
  • Turn off your phone, wait a minute
  • Turn on your phone and see if it is still there.
  • If still there... 'force restart' your iphone. There is a link on the apple site here

Good luck!

Thanks but Still pops up all the time after trying this

If it keeps popping up, the problem may be in your carrier's system. Sometimes, the flag gets stuck. Try dialing into the voicemail directly (ask your carrier for instructions if you don't remember how) and make sure you've cleared all the unheard messages. If that doesn't work, call your carrier and ask them for help. They will probably need to disable the voicemail notification feature on your account or, possibly even voice mail and then add it back.
