This seems to be a duplicate of your other post, but missing the rather important information that the USB wireless adapter is for your printer (to "turn [it] into a wireless printer") – not for the MacBook.

Yes, I am attempting to turn my Ricoh printer into a wireless printer. Previously, I had it LAN to a Thinkpad. Now I’d like to print wirelessly with my new MacBook. I have not been able to find a USB wireless adapter that works with Apple. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
