CarPlay won’t skip songs

I have iOS 17.3.1 and the steering wheel buttons don’t work on CarPlay, does anyone know how to fix it? Volume works fine it’s just with the skip button. When I use the normal radio it works fine it’s only with car play that the skip button doesn’t work.

For some reason I am unable to skip songs using the steering wheel, my phone, or the car screen. It only lets me skip forward 30 seconds or skip backward 10 seconds. A few days ago it was fine, I was able to skip songs. I’m not sure if it was due to an update but I would like to figure out how to change it back to be able to skip songs. I don’t use Apple Music, I’ve always used YouTube music.

No volume control when playing music via CarPlay Why can we not control the music volume, or when my iphone is connected by CarPlay? The navigation system or car dashboard can not change the volume. The side buttons on my iphone can not change it. The volume controls on my steering wheel can not change it. What is going on?? A lot of people have the same issue! (My phone is up-to-date and I have a new car.)

Music controls using steering wheel controls and CarPlay I upgraded to iOS 16.5 today and since then, when using CarPlay, I can’t control music (skip forward and reverse) using the steering wheel controls of my 2022 Rav4.
