16 hours to update my Apple Watch and lost 5 year streak

Painful experience. I paired my iwatch with my new iphone 15 yesterday. Didnt realise it would take 16 hours. Tried to stop the update and reload but to no luck. Also tried to pair up again to old phone but it refused to synchronise. 16 hours is untenable!

So the only times I have lost my ring streak is due to Apple updates. Thank you Apple. It took me the whole evening as well.

Suggestion: Apple, why dont you warn users it will take this amount of time before proceeding with the upgrade?

Users: do the upgrade during the night.

Because what you experienced is not the experience of millions of folks who achieved the update in a matter of minutes. This was unique to you.
