I have an item listed in settings under "Allow in the Background" as Ben Gotow.
I could not find any information to tell me what this item was, so I turned it off. Does anyone know which application it is from?
I want to remove it, but turning off the Allow in the Background for it is good enough, I hope.

Why do you suddenly want to turn it off? It’s been there since you installed the app, running in the background.
You installed something at some poin You’ve been fine with it running in the background since you installed it, but now that you know it’s running it’s a problem?
Unfortunately Apple provided an interface to reveal this items, but neglected to do it properly so there is no way to know what any background item is associated with unless it just so happens to have the name of the app or developer in it. People should just ignore the Background App options in System Settings if they want their installed software to work.
Of course you can turn the item off to wait & see what breaks. If it is an app you don't use very often, then by the time you use that app you may have forgotten about turning off the Background App process & wonder why your app is broken.
