spotlight not able to open apps in different spaces

I am a great fan of Spotlight, but why not just use Command-Tab to switch applications, or Control-left or Control-right to switch Spaces? Neither seems to require more typing than Spotlight in this instance.

I said nothing about the mouse, only the keyboard:

Control-rightarrow

Example:

I have Safari, Chrome in full-screen(different spaces), when i search for chrome in spotlight when I am in safari space, it goes just to desktop without switching to chrome and vice versa.

I don't get it.... generally spotlight is full feature search function; not switching applications.

If the apps in question are open and in Full Screen—

Use Mission Control to see and navigate open apps in full screen

Use Command Tab to open the HUD (heads up display) to navigate to all open applications

I would like to search for an opened app instead of trying to remember on which desktop it's located. So yeah, I would find it useful to be able to just move to the opened app.

If I follow your thinking, I should go to mission control to find the good "space" and afterwards click on it, so instead of just typing the name of the app, I should open mission control, locate the right desktop, click on it...

But yeah maybe the HUD is the way to go... but still, I find it slow if I have opened a lot of app.

Because i don’t know on which the app is. If i have to use the mouse, it takes me more time.
