Audible just stops playing

Recently listening to audiobooks on Apple or Overdrive, something causes it to just stop playing. To resume, must go to iPad, press Start. This happens after about 40 minutes of playback, always at the end of a chapter. This is a fairly recent thing and since it started occuring on both sites at the exact time, pretty sure problem is not audible or overdrive issue.

Audiobooks and music cut out when using other apps Recently my audiobooks or music cut off when I try to play games while listening. This used to not happen, but now it does and it happens with lots of other games/apps, not just one. I have the games on silent, but it still happens. It seems like it might have something to do with ads that run while playing a game. It's becoming really annoying because I have to stop and find the song/book and start it again and then it turns off a couple minutes later. I don't understand why it's suddenly started happening. I have done this for years with no problem. What changed? Any solutions?
