Suddenly can‘t connect to CarPlay

I have used Car Play with zero issues over the past month. Suddenly, as of yesterday i cannot connect my iphone to it and i keep getting the following message, “connection failed. Please check the bluetooth and wifi settings on your mobile device“. I have restarted my car, my iphone, i have checked both bluetooth and wifi settings but the problem persists. Can you help? Thanks

I have an iPhone X and it will not connect with CarPlay now. I have tried all steps and still cannot connect. Is Apple going to get this fixed? It happened after the last iPhone update.

I was just about to post the same thing because I had an epiphany (LOL! )while screen mirroring a show from my iPhone 16 to my TV. It finally dawned on me to see if I turn off my VPN, maybe it would work and it does!


i'm relieved! I know this won't help if you don't have a VPN, but if you have a VPN, definitely sign out of it. I use Nord and I can only pause it for one hour and that's not long enough.
