Unable to update my MacBook to macOS Sonoma, restarts while updating.

When it restarts, I get an error "Your computer was restarted because of a problem".

When I try to install it again, I have to start from the beginning again, entering my password and accepting the agreements. Then it'll go up to "34 minutes remaining" and will restart again. It happens almost every time I try.

I've tried booting into safe mode and it still doesn't work. It restarts and I have to start all over again.

I've tried deleting the installer and downloading it again and it still doesn't work. It's getting really frustrating that I can't even use the latest xcode because I can't install Sonoma.

Try to jump from Ventura 13.2 Build # 22D49 ( as per Crash Log suppled ) released Jan 23, 2023

It may be possible but would suggest updating Ventura to the Current version 13.6.4 First

Using the Terminal command to see what versions are available and it should list Ventura 13.6.4

softwareupdate --list-full-installers

Then, use the below command to Manually Download Ventura 13.6.4

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 13.6.4

The command will only download the Full Version of Ventura 13.6.4

It will Not Launch

It will create a new application called " Install Ventura " application in the Applications folder of this computer

Stop there

Always make a Time Machine Backup  before doing anything more

Once that is finished

Restart the Computer in  Safe Mode

This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading.

It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance

Ready ? Launch " Install Ventura " and follow the prompts
