I scratch off my last 1 digit from my Apple gift card

I mistakenly scratched off last 1 digits code from my Apple Card $400 $100 each lose the last one digit so I need help

Food Lion said it's nothing they can do about it and said once you buy it we don't give refunds on gifts cards and I told them all the cards were one digit short on the the number and it 15 digits on the card and suppose to be 16 digits on the card
