How to upgrade Mac mini 1TB SSD to 512GB

It is a late 2018 Mac Mini with a 128gb SSD. I would like to find a compatible 512gb or even a 1gb SSD for it.


Any recommendations?

The 2018 Mac Mini does not have any removable internal storage. The internal SSD is soldered onto the Logic Board. Your only option is to use an external USB3 or Thunderbolt2 SSD. If you use a USB3 SSD, then make sure to get one which supports UASP protocol for the most efficient transfers.
