Why the same photo and video in iCloud take up more space than on iPhone?
I store photos and videos both physically and in iCloud at the same time. On iPhone it take 12.03 GB, and in iCloud the same take 20.78GB.
I just want to know, why?

If you have Optimized Storage turned on in your iPhone, that is designed to save space on the phone while storing the full-size photos on iCloud.
