If they are suggesting you need to provide financial information or download an app to resolve an issue, then you should just delete and move on.
If you are concerned about Journal Suggestions, it can be shut off. This has been reported by many outlets and is only used to prioritize suggestions for Journal entries and does not expose any personal information.
There is nothing wrong with being concerned about security and it is always important to consider that with any action you take. The real security concerns are for apps/companies that collect your personal information to sell to advertisers for an income stream. This is not a secret, but many people will continue to use Social Media apps where that is the only source of income.
Who sent this junk email? NO ONE can track your iPhone simply by using the Journal App. That's just total unadulterated bunk.
