If Your AppleTV is on Ethernet, You Probably Won't Be Able to Complete Sign In With iPhone

Just got off the help line with Apple support. I couldn't see my movies on Apple TV, when I checked my account, it said "Finish Signing In with iPhone". I went through the process multiple times, it would spend 5 minutes spinning/signing in, ask for my Apple ID password, spin for 5 more minutes, and say sign in couldn't be completed, try again. The answer was, unplug the ethernet cable from my AppleTV and sign in on the same wireless network as the iPhone. Instantly had my content showing up. Then plug the ethernet cable back in.


Sort of ridiculous it would work this way. But maybe someone will see this and avoid the headaches.
