MP3 and other music files I have put into iTunes / Apple Music which were either purchased elsewhere or added by CD have been converted to MP4 and I am unable to use them with DJ software, how do I resolve this issue?

I also have playlists which are no longer playable on certain devices because they are now considered streaming because they are now M4p and not the Mp3's which I had added.
