Refund got denied twice and can no longer request

I got a 7 day free trial on Smule and canceled immediately so it wouldn’t charge later on when it renews, but it still ended up charging me for the free trial??? I tried requesting a refund for it twice and I got denied… I’m really not sure what to do at this point.

Sorry, but there is nothing we will be able to do. Be aware that some apps are trying to get you to sign up on their website while using the app instead of using an in-app purchase. I did notice that Smule is offering 90% off subscriptions if you purchase through them instead of using an in-app purchase. They do this to avoid the transaction fees when you use an in-app purchase. It also makes it so you have to deal with that company instead of Apple for cancelling your subscription and payment issues.

Netflix is another company that is now requiring you to sign up for subscriptions on their website instead of using the in-app purchase. When you do that you will need to cancel through Netflix instead of cancelling the subscription through Apple, since it bypasses the ability of Apple to control the subscription.
