Slow Mac computer, very slow start up

I updated OS to Sonoma, have no login items and still takes me 7.5 minutes to boot up my MAC. Navigating around on the internet is slow and very frustrated with a very slow computer. I need some advice how to proceed. Thanks

Sounds like possibly HDD/SSD problems, but how much fre space does it have?

Try one of these two…

You can use Drive DX to possibly get a better view of Drive health…

It may be wise to run SMART Utility to check the drives' health.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?
