Unable to receive Apple Cash
Why is my child unable to receive Apple Cash that I’m trying to send to her via Apple Messaging? She says she’s being asked for her SSN.

Apple is not a bank. Apple Cash is a service administered by Green Dot Bank and per federal banking regulations, banks are required to “Know Your Customer.” Why is positive ID required?
The Patriot Act and other federal regulations requires that lenders, banks etc obtain a confirmed ID.
