USB midi controller keyboard question

Hi, I have a midi controller keyboard connected and powered via USB to my Mac and it all works very well with Logic. I also have the same keyboard connected to a groovebox via 5pin midi. The keyboard and groovebox also work well together as long as the Mac is switched off. If I switch on the Mac, the controller keyboard no longer works with the groovebox.

Is anyone able to advise a way around this that doesn't involve plugging the controller keyboard into a different power outlet?

THANKS

Mac mini, macOS 12.6

It’s probably giving the USB port priority while it’s hooked up to the Mac. Even though it’s not being used with any DAWS the Audio-MIDI utility app is likely keeping the connection going when the Mac is on. The easiest thing to do is unplug the usb cable from the controller while connecting to the groove box and then plug back in when using Logic.
