I am unable to update my Mac to the latest version

We are other end users and cannot help with update questions without knowing the SUB-MODEL and current macOS version of your Mac. Please do "About this Mac..." from your Apple menu and post whas shows to thois two items. Example from macOS 12:

If you are now running macOS 13 "Ventura" as shown in your equipment line, your Macbook Pro must be a 2018 model or later to run macOS14 "Sonoma":

To clarify, your computer is a MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2019.

You can use that info anytime you are asking for assistance, in addition to the macOS version you posted earlier. 🙂👍🏽

Are you using System Settings > General > Software Update to attempt your Ventura update? The latest version of Ventura is 13.6.4

Or are you attempting to upgrade to macOS 14 Sonoma?
