Cloud icon on apps and folders

The image below is my files on my MacBook Air. This MacBook is relatively new and I noticed today these clouds are sitting next to my applications. This has never happened before, they were never there, and I would like to know more about them and most importantly, how do I remove them? I never had this icon next to my apps and files and I know it has something to do with iCloud, but I don't really know or care about them much. If you could help, thanks!

Folder in iCloud has dotted cloud icon next to it I don't normally use iCloud but I tried to start. The iCloud drive is there in my Finder. I created a folder in it from within the Finder and put some files in it which I then deleted. I am talking about from on my Mac in the Finder, not on iCloud.com. Ever since I deleted those files, the folder has a dotted cloud icon next to it to the right. I am not sure why this is. Does anyone know how why and how I can fix it?

Cloud icon for items in Trash Finder is showing the cloud icon for many of the files in my Trash. There items were never stored in iCloud. Looking at iCloud, there is no indication of these files currently. What is this icon telling me?

CloudDocs Unable to remove files There are files located on my iMac (located - Library - Application Support - CloudDocs - Session - Containers) that i cannot remove. Soon after deletion, they all re-appear within 1-2 minutes (unless i sign out of iCloud Drive). These files seem to be related to apps that i had installed on my iPhone many years ago and no longer have e.g kayak, viber, hotelsnearme, movietube etc..... I have searched endlessly in my iCloud Drive folders and they do not appear there. Does anybody have any idea how to delete this and stop them from re-appearing?
