How do you know you have malware installed?
The operating system volume is read-only so no malware can get installed there. However, you can download and install the free Malwarebytes and when run, it will look for and remove known malware from other locations. You can then uninstall Malwarebytes from its help menu.
The principal vector for malware infections on your Mac is by downloading content from other than the original developer site.
