I can't find the subscription for which I want to ask for a refund to Apple

I have a subscription to an app/website called IMVU, I have gotten into contact with their support, and they are telling me I need to request the returns through apple. However, when i go to try and request a refund nothing wants to come up about these payments. So i need support to help me with this please and thank you.

The subscription will only show on your device if it was purchased using an in-app purchase. They also offer subscriptions on their website and the app may bring up their website to subscribe there, which will bypass the normal cancellation process used by Apple. I understand they told you to cancel through Apple, but I would still verify that the subscription was not done through them directly. Here is more information they provide on their website where you may be able to login and view your subscription options.

this is what imvu said back to me after i said that "They are the one who can issue a refund for your vip since this subscription is linked with apple. I understand that they are pushing it back to imvu but we do not have the tools that they have to refund your request. Try again to ask for a refund with them."

That may be true. Have you been able to see the subscription on your iPhone when you go to Settings > [name on top] > Media & Purchases > View Account > Subscriptions?
