Behringer UMC204HD not working in Logic Pro

Hello,

I have used a Behringer UMC204HD for a while with Logic before, but recently I have been experiencing a large issue. When recording or using input monitoring I am faced with a crackly distorted strange sound that is unusual. It's hard to put to words but it is uninterprretal and is not useful at all. I have tried different mics, wires and instruments as well as reinstalling Logic and updating my Macbook Pro 2018. I only have this issue in Logic as in Garageband and others it works perfectly fine.

This usually solves your problem

Check the Control Center on the top right of MacOS menu bar. It's where your volume control, network setting etc are located. You should see a microphone while Logic is running. Click on it and change to standard.
