Fixing/Replacing Unibody on Macbook Air

So I was working on my laptop when it fell, and there is a pretty nasty dent on it.

I was wondering, just because it is the first dent I have and it really bothers me, if there was a way to fix it? I know replacing the unibody can be pretty expensive, and I have only found articles on it about the Macbook Pro and not the air.

Is there a way to only replace the metal or straighten it out without removing the keyboard as well? Or only fixing that dent and not replacing it fully? I really am curious.

Also are there any budget ways to fix this other than tape over it?

If you have AppleCare+, you can get the case replaced for $99 USD. From the AppleCare+ page:

  • "Unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $299 for other accidental damage, plus applicable tax"

However, if you do not have AppleCare+ coverage, it will be an expensive bill to replace it. Trying to do it yourself could end up costing you a new MacBook Air if you happen to break the wrong thing.
