Apple sign in

Why is it often times I am asked to sign in my apple account when it is already signed in on? It seems to be on all the different accounts, apps/media purchase, apple ID, iCloud etc.

Probably you are using Multiple IDs for multiple servcies.

Use the same Apple ID every time you sign-in to use all Apple services like the App Store, iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.

Where can I use my Apple ID?

You can sign in to all Apple services with a single Apple ID and password.

Your Apple ID is the account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more. It contains the email address and password you use to sign in, plus all of the contacts, payment, and security details you use for all Apple services.

Here are some of the most common services that you can access to your Apple ID:

  • App Store & Apple Arcade
  • Apple Books
  • Apple Music & Music Purchases
  • Apple News
  • Apple Online Store
  • Apple Pay, Apple Card and Apple Cash
  • Apple Podcasts
  • Apple Retail Services and Programs (Concierge, Joint Venture, Workshops and Youth Programs)
  • Apple Store App
  • Apple Support Communities
  • AppleTV, Apple TV +, and Apple TV channels
  • FaceTime
  • ShareFamilies
  • Find My
  • Game Center
  • iCloud
  • iMessage
  • iTunes
  • Sign in to Apple

To manage your Apple ID account to your information, go Apple ID accounts page .

It is my personal iPhone 12, I use only one ID and password. So..when I have signed out of all accounts and devices and then signed back into any of my accounts I am prompted to sign in when it clearly says signed in. I have had ongoing issues with multiple settings, such as Im signed out of screen time but unable to sign out of my account, it is greyed out. When I go back to screen time settings and turn it on, communication limits are always for contacts only instead of everyone, I am showing two iPhones sometimes but only data for one, and sometimes two iPhones and all devices under the device tab. Depending on which iPhone I choose and back out, turn off screen time, I will loose most of my apps on the screen but are there under the settings tab. All on the same phone, same ID and password. I had a 2nd SE iPhone on the same account for a short time that was lost and probably destroyed. It was removed from the account.
