Disk utility First Aid abnormality on my Mac

Had some problem with my external drives earlier (when they were in ExFat format). There were files disappearing off my drive. After which I formatted them both to APFS format. Since I've formatted, there doesn't seem to be any files missing (at least for now) .

But on both drives, when I do a First Aid ( from disk utility) , I always get the error from the attached figure. But if I click "done" and run Disk utility again, First Aid runs, and I get the message

" The volume /dev/rdisk9s1 with UUID AB7..... appears to be OK. "

Why am I getting the error message in the first place ?

I'm on a Mac Studio with Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60)

Thanks

to clarify your format is now— GUID / APFS ...(?)

seems a glitch / bug if you finally get it to run

you can file a bug report /submit your Apple Feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

your macOS is current — the stable release of Sonoma including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 14.3.1
