is is possible to stuck water in display

i have iphone 12 mini, recently i dipped my iphone in water and some water get stuck inside my phone. i tried to eject water and it worked but some water are there inside phone that can v seen by camera glass. i took it to my nearest cashify store to remove all water of phone but there was a technician who opened the phones screen very brutally and damaged my phone screen and blamed that you dipped your phone in water that's why water stuck inside phone screen and now my phone's display is not working. the damage is properly visible on screen but technician is not accepting his mistake.

so, explain me that is it possible to stuck water inside phone's screen?
