Custom ringtones not working on iPhone 15

Hello

I have a 2 week old iphone 15 and have assigned ringtones for ringtone, text, new voicemail, new mail, sent mail, calendar alerts etc....

When played, they work.

BUT they don't make the sound whenever I have a call, text, etc.

Have turned volume up. Have checked sound is not set on silent or do not disturb.

Have cleaned the speaker or receiver opening with a small, soft-bristled brush.

Go to Settings > Sounds (or Settings > Sounds & Haptics), and drag the Ringer and Alerts slider back and forth a few times.

So sound does work BUT not when incoming ?

Anyone else having this problem?
