why can't I download GarageBand on my iMac os 10.13.6
I've tried so but failed. I bought this Mac just to use Garageband and iMovie.
Can somebody show a way to download these apps?

If you have never downloaded them before, you can't. Older versions are only available for previous purchases/downloads.
You need a Mac that can run the latest OS.
(Or, if you know the previous owner, and they had downloaded GB, they can lot onto their Apple IS and re-download GB.)
