How do to save a planned route in Maps on my iPhone?

This question was asked two years ago and no-one answered it or misunderstood what was being asked.

How do you SAVE a planned route on Apple Maps?

EXAMPLE: You are planning regular delivery routes which change depending on the weekday. You then want to name and store the routes so they can be recalled for each workday (eg Monday’s route, Tuesday’s route …).

Yes, the simple answer is ditch Apple Maps and use Google Maps, but surely Apple must have a way to do this?

I think if u press the go option (after planning multi-stop route) and then end the route, the whole trip may save under "recents". 🤞🏼

There doesn’t seem to currently be a way to do this which is unfortunate.

There should at least be an option in the Guide function to set a route based on selected places within a given guide but even that isn’t available. You can select a first stop from a guide but then your stuck with the search box for the next location. Hard to see the point of guides without this.
