Unable to use older versions softwares on my MacBook with macOS High Sierra.

I use a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011) and had to reset the laptop. I cannot load old versions of my Microsoft Office software or even Apple's own Pages, Numbers and the rest.

How do I fix this problem? I cannot afford a new laptop but always believed in Apple. Is there a way for me to continue using my loved, and in mint condition MacBook Pro?

Please help me finding a way to install Microsoft (I am a legal user and paid for many years but the older Office is not available) and Apple older programs, Including the awesome Airmail I got to love.

To download an older version of Pages, launch the App Store application and sign in with the Apple ID you used when you bought Pages.

Then click your app store account icon at the bottom left corner of the window and you should be presented with a pages that lists the apps that you have previously purchased. You may find Pages in that list and can download it again.

As for the older Microsoft apps, you can thank Microsoft for discontinuing their support of those apps. MS also seems to have disconnected their registration servers so now disallow reinstalling the apps. Take the good advice posted by BDAqua regarding LibreOffice.

Another option will be to buy a newer Mac that can run the three newest versions of macOS and thus the newest versions of Office that Microsoft currently supports.

Look into the Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files like Word & Excel, & Page Layout…
