How to remove Facebook Messenger from an old Apple ID Account on my iPad

I have moved countries and have an Apple account that I have some apps from. This account was using an email from a company that closed their email. So I have an app (messenger) that I can not update as I can not sign in to the account.

The app Facebook Messenger will not update as it is connected to an old Apple account where the email is no longer functioning. I have tried to delete the app on my iPad but it will not delete only hide. I was hoping to delete the app and then get it again with my proper Apple account (this one)
