FCPX LOCKS WHEN ZOOMING WITH MOUSE

Since I use a high resolution Studio Display, I usually use "option" and the mouse to zoom into the FCPX interface to be able to read text more easily. Unfortunately, this no longer works as FCPX locks when I zoom in. After a number of seconds, maybe 15 to 20, fcpx unlocks by itself. Is this an FCPX phenomenon or is it Sonoma that is ghosting?

I am using FCP in Sonoma and I frequently zoom in the screen using Control and a scroll gesture in the trackpad. I have not experienced the problem you describe. I don’t have a Studio Display, and I don’t know if that is a factor or not.

What is your mac? Are you using just one display or more?

Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here.

Use the “additional text” button and paste the report into the text box.

No beach ball and screen stuck. Cursor don't move. No other apps open. An parallel issue is in, for example in finder, when I in the same way is using option and zooming with magic mouse, the entire screen flashes.

This suggests that there is some problem with the Zoom feature, perhaps not directly related to FCP.

That Etrecheck report may help shed some light into the problem.
