I imported my original media in my FCP project. I ask for it to create proxy media but it got stuck and so I stopped the process. How can I create proxy without importing again my original media? I feel it is easier to work with proxy media while editing. I am working with a MacBook Pro M1. Thank you in advance for your reply.

The media should have already loaded, right? ?😅 Select media in browser →Information inspector →Transcode media

That’s what was shown in the second image. Selected the media to convert in the browser, right-click and use the Transcode media function.

Thank you for the answer but I see where to create Proxy Media (picture 1) but if I do import, it will import again the original media while creating proxy, isn't it?
