Safari prompts Touch ID out of nowhere

Hello everybody! I am running on Safari Version 17.2.1 and Sonoma 14.2.1 on a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. It has come to my attention that out of the blue, Safari asks me through the Touch Bar to place my fingerprint, although there is no website, program or pop-up that asks for such information. I am worried that my security is compromised.
