When you are in the Audio Midi Setup. Make sure you select Window and Show Midi Studio. This will bring up a separate window with whatever midi devices are connected. It's been a really long time since I've used the rewound midi connections so you might need tp gp tp YouTube to get info on how to set it up.
You might need to open the AudioMidi utility app to make sure they are properly connected
Hi,
Thanks for your response, I have looked at AudioMidi utility app which only shows my Fireface 400, no Roland D10 or Roland JV 1080???
I think I have followed the recommended midi connections between all the devices but still not registering everything. Any further tips?
Cheers iain
Hi ,
Thanks Pancenter, yes all midi cables are 5 pin but still not showing up on Logic Pro when I add a midi channel ?
I can't seem to find a drop-down menu where a choice of devices are offered to install?
Cheers Iain
Hi,
Thanks again for your advice, unfortunately I still can't get any devices appearing in the AudioMidi utility window apart from my Fireface 400......the Roland D10 or Roland JV 1080 are not recognised. I was previously using Cubase which did allow for all of my devices??
Cheers Iain
That's correct, both of those Synths use a 5-pin MIDI cable, correct? The older synths, not using a USB MIDI interface cannot transfer the Synth's details... make, model number...etc.
