ipad battery draining even when it says its charging a lot of the time when my ipad is charging it will have the lightning bolt symbol indicating that it is indeed charging, but the battery will still go down. it doesnt do this all the time, and seems to be only when im not keeping the ipad 100% still. ive had a couple different chargers before, and im pretty sure its been happening with most of them. i tried to clean out my charging port with a toothpick once a while ago, but there were no affects at all. advice? (note: i keep the charger on an extention cord / power strip thingy, not sure what its called. i also use this to plug in my phone charger (a samsung, if thats relevant) and do not have the same issues. ive plugged the ipad charger into pretty much all of the outlets on it before and the issue remained.)

Charging issues with my iPad after iPadOS 17.4 update Since taking this update on my ipad air on Sunday, my battery is draining like mad. Over four hours and not getting a full charge. I know the iphone users are having similar problems. Any word on a fix from Apple? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The battery has probably lost much of its capacity.

If it's a generation 5 or later, Apple will probably be able to replace the battery:
