My iPhone SE 2nd Generation was updated to iOS 17.4 today. Now battery charging is on hold for optimized battery charging. Scheduled to finish charging by 4000-12-31 (yyyy-mm-dd). Please is there some way to speed that up by a millennium or two?

Oh yeah, the Microsoft solution, turn it off and on again. How could I forget. But I tried it and it didn't work.
But then I had inspiration. I turned off optimized battery charging, then unplugged the phone and plugged it in again. That worked. Apple beats Microsoft, unplug it and plug it in again.
Finally I turned optimized battery charging on again in case it might work in the future.
