Need to migrate from M1 macbook pro to Older Intel MacBook Pro

Is it possible to do migration assistant to migrate from m1 to Intel based mac?

Yes, but make sure to migrate ONLY the user accounts.

Do not migrate applications, settings or 'other files'. Just check te box(es) for the user account(s) you want to bring to the intel mac. This will include all the documents, photos, mail, music... and all the preferences.

You can the install any applications that you need, from the App Store or their developers' sites.

Do not attempt to migrate apps. Migrate your data only. You will not lose your data if you migrate it.

Apps may not be compatible across different operating system versions and different hardware. Install the correct app version on the second computer.
