French Quotation Marks keyboard shortcut

In 2008 someone asked how to create French quotation marks on a Mac keyboard, which is what I was searching for this morning. The answer given did not work for me (or the person from 2008), but it got me experimenting and I found the correct combination.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.7

If anything else like that comes up, you can always see what all the key combos produce with Keyboard Viewer

Another approach is to use either an Automator or Shortcuts Quick Action that allows one to just select the text to receive the French Guillemet and the action automatically replaces that text with the Guillemet enclosing it. This can be shortened to a single keyboard shortcut.
