What internet icon exactly?
What did it look like?
Where on your Mac was it exactly?
There is no specific internet icon on Macs. Different apps will use the internet in different ways.
Do you perhaps mean you lost your Web Browser? If so, and you were using Safari, it cannot be removed from the Mac.
Not sure what steps you have followed, so hard to offer any other suggestions, but Safari should be able to be found by opening a Finder Window (blue face on your dock), and Navigating to the Applications folder, and then dragging it back onto the dock.
I believe "ngahiraka" is talking about the internet icon that looks similar to this "<...>", not the wifi icon.
Mac at one time, had this internet icon on the menubar but is no longer there. Mac should bring back the option to have it on the menu bar. I use wifi (if needed) to connect to the internet but, I primarily connect via ethernet cable directly to my hub/docking station, which is more reliable. should being back the internet icon for the menu bar.
