Import music from iOS device to Windows

Recently, I've been wanting to add my song collection from my iOS devices (in my case an iPad) to my Windows via iTunes. However, I cannot find an option that lets me copy or import the songs from my iPad directly to my computer in a way that it includes the many .mp3 albums I downloaded free and then synced to the iPad.

iTunes has no native method for importing from a portable device. The music files on a device are encoded in such a way that Windows cannot recover the music in playable form. To recover the music on your iPad, see this thread from fellow user turningtest2: Recover your iTunes library from your iPo… - Apple Community. Be aware that some of the suggestions he makes are not free.

You may find that it is easier to go back to your original source for the .mp3 files that you downloaded to your iPad directly from the internet, although if you did Sync them to your iPad, that suggests that you did so from your iTunes Library since that's the only way to sync with an iPad. In which case, they should still be in your library.
