I can't download apps on my iPhone
Every time I try to download something it won’t let me

You may need to have a valid payment method on file to download apps – even "free" ones.
You won't be charged to download "free" apps – but many of those are like vending machines. They have "in-app purchases"; and if you make in-app purchases, you will be charged real money.
