Sound Check not working on iPhone and MacOS with imported and synced music

I’ve noticed an annoying bug that’s been occurring since over a year. On the music app, whether on iPhone or Mac, Sound Check while playing albums doesn’t work with music imported from CDs or other sources that are not iTunes Store or Apple Music (in these 2 cases it works fine).

I get that this issue may not be “relevant” enough because people who rip CDs and sync them with iPhone are not so much anymore, but I think that there was a time when Apple was known for its care in every issue, even the little ones. Sadly, it’s not like that anymore.

This is very annoying, it worked fine years ago, when the app was called just “iTunes”.

I’m currently using iPhone 15 with iOS 17.4 and MacOS Sonoma 14.4
