When I open my email I have these boxes at the bottom and nothing is in them but I can’t delete. How do you delete
them. Thanks

You delete those mini-windows in Mail by closing them just as you would a regular app. Swipe the screen up midway to display all the opened apps and flip up all the Mail windows you see.
